Last updated: November 2026

Overview

ALS Property & Conveyancing respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and how you can get in touch about it. It's intended to be read alongside the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What information we collect

When you get in touch with ALS (whether through the enquiry form, by phone or by email), we may collect information such as your name, phone number, email address, the suburb your property is in, and any details you choose to share about your buying, selling or transfer situation. If you send through a Contract of Sale, Section 32 or other property documents, we collect the information contained in those documents for the purpose of assisting with your matter.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, discuss and provide conveyancing services relevant to your property matter, and communicate with you about the progress of your transaction. We don't use your information for any purpose beyond this unless you're told otherwise and given the opportunity to opt out.

When we may share your information

Property transactions generally require some information to be shared with other parties involved in the transaction, for example, the other party's conveyancer or solicitor, financial institutions, or relevant government bodies such as land title authorities. We only share what's reasonably necessary to progress your matter, or where we're required to by law. We don't sell or trade your personal information.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Where you send documents electronically, we recommend using the secure method Seema arranges with you directly, particularly for sensitive documents like a signed Contract of Sale.

Access and correction

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate or out of date. Just get in touch using the details below.
